Benefits of CFS
Not all students have equal access to technology, or opportunities to
develop the skills required to succeed in a knowledge-based economy. By
helping to improve the ratio of computers to students in Canadian
schools, Computers for Schools contributes to greater equity of access
to technology in all regions of Canada. Benefits to supporting CFS
include:
- turning your surplus computers from an
environmental liability into a valuable resource for public schools,
libraries, and not-for-profit learning organizations.
- helping
young Canadians gain greater access to information technology (IT), and
develop the skills required in a knowledge-based economy.
- contributing
to the reduction of the "digital divide" in Canada by enabling students
and citizens to gain access to the benefits of using information
technology.
|
- adding
value to your donated equipment. CFS ensures each system delivered
consists of a computer processing unit, monitor, mouse, keyboard and
operating system software.
- providing equipment for hands-on training for students and volunteers to gain valuable IT work experience.
- associating with an initiative that has won national and international recognition and numerous awards.
Join us, and be part of the growing movement to improve access to
technology in Canadian schools, libraries, and not-for profit learning
organizations. A tax receipt may also be available for your donation. |
